Our South Lyon project is a 14 × 20-foot four-season addition with a vaulted wood ceiling and generous windows. The gallery follows the work from the original porch through the completed room. RDS Homes built the addition; home exterior work was completed by others.

What should I prepare for a consultation?
Share your city or ZIP, the room you want to add, approximate size, photos of the existing house, and your budget range. Existing drawings are helpful if you have them, but you can inquire while still exploring the scope.
Can you quote an addition from square footage alone?
Square footage is a starting point. Existing conditions, foundation and roof connections, finishes, utilities, and required plans affect the scope. A project estimate follows a review of those details.
Will an addition require plans and permits?
Requirements depend on the property, municipality, and proposed work. Plans, permit responsibilities, and any engineering needs should be established in the project scope before construction.
